Jakarta Indonesian Restaurant was established in 1994 with our first location in Given Tce. Paddington Brisbane. The name “Jakarta” is taken from the capital city of Indonesia. Batavia is what Dutch people named Jakarta and it was later changed to Betawi. Three person dressed in “Betawi” style became our logo.
Our restaurant is decorated with Indonesian traditional theme, with traditional Indonesian music as a background. The Restaurant seats 100 indoor and outdoor.
Indonesian food is highly original and exciting in its ingredients, preparation and presentation. We feature favourite dishes from Bali, Java, Sunda, Padang and other provinces in Indonesia. All our dishes are prepared using only the choicest ingredients, including authentic imported herbs and spices. We also sell Bintang (Indonesian beer), drinks, snacks and candies imported from Indonesia.
Rijst-tafel (Banguet) which means Rice Table is a combination of many small dishes and steam rice. The variety of dishes include chicken, meat, vegetables and seafood. Recommended for first timer and group.
